12th October 2009 (Canadian Thanksgiving)
Left the town of Calgary after viewing the Saddle Dome , with a brisk walk around the building. On the way we saw the cowboys preparing for the placing of cattle into the pens/yards. It was a cold morning with lots of ice on the ground to test our agility as we went.

We then headed for Red Deer and had lunch at our favourite restaurant Mac's. Onward to Wetaskiwin losing our exhaust box and pipe along the way, and called into the Huckleberry Cafe to catch up with Greg's friend Paul, but he was not in and we would catch him later at his home.
Next we drove on to Millet to call in on Wayne and Linda, Wayne and Greg go back a long way to 1964 on a boat cruise. No one was home except for their son in law Cory who was doing some work on the bathroom upstairs.
While we were waiting we went over the road to visit Paul and his daughter Tasha and had a yarn with them promising to taste their wares at the restaurant the following day.
Back to Linda and Waynes to find that all were home including all the children and their families for the thanksgiving dinner, well all except Wayne who was watering his cattle and would turn up
later.
