Bozeman Montana to Lethbridge/Canada

Saturday 10th 2009

We left the Rainbow Motel with a feeling of sadness, Rochelle and Frank had been great and these new found friends were now to be left behind. Well at least for now.

The day was a lot clearer and the snow had melted away and it wasn't long and we were traveling steadily towards Three Forks and then on to Helena where we linked with highway 15 which would take us all the way to the Canadian border. It was incredible to note along this part of the journey an old disused rail line had been used as a graveyard for miles of disused container rolling stock. I would make it our goal to find out how this had occurred and what was to become of all this valuable equipment. Along the way we saw many Geese on the ground for the night and obviously beginning to migrated south for the winter.

When we reached to border port of Sweetgrass the immigration and customs personal were most efficient and soon had us through the crossing and on our way to the overnight stopover at Lethbridge. After turning up at the YWCA and being refused accommodation the ladies directed us to a suitable place for the night.

The car had run well after the fitting of the new water pump and the repaired front tire. Congratulations to Farr Automotive Bozeman for a great job.

Snowed in at Bozeman

This morning Friday 9th October we woke to snow and by the local forecast we may not get away from here for a day or two. This will perhaps allow for more sight seeing around Bozeman.

Last night we attended the Local Pub and watched our Girl Friday from Farr Automotive and her team play Pool. It was a great night to mix with the locals and get a feel for their American lifestyle in Bozeman.

This arvo we are going to look at the Dinosaur Museum on the local Blue Bus System.

More in a day or two
