Set forth from Banff hotel after a great nights sleep in the cabin. Our aim was to get to Whistler and it soon became obvious that we would not make it on this leg of the journey. In fact we ended up at Kamloops. We traveled all day through dry terrain and there were signs of the dreaded beetle that kills off the pine trees every where.
As we moved steadily to the West the rain began to fall and apparently at thjis time of the year the moist air from the Pacific Ocean brings the rain as it hits the mountains. We arrived at Kamloops and Greg cooked dinner in the rain on the balcony.
